Vegas Family Travel would love to thank Peridot Sweets AGAIN for creating some amazing desserts for us to try during a special event at their Las Vegas bakery. It was a great opportunity for our moms and children to meet and to learn about a fairly new mom owned and operated business located in Southwest Las Vegas.
I met the owner Tiffany online several years ago in one of the many Facebook groups we are in and soon became intrigued with her cake making skills when she announced she was going to Hawaii to create a wedding cake! At that point I am thinking “this lady has some serious skills!” I have followed her journey from baking cakes out of her home, to wanting to open her own Las Vegas bakery, and then finally watch her dream became an amazing reality! After a few years of being “online friends” we finally met!
In the Peridot Sweets cooler the varieties will vary. One of our moms was wanting one of Tiffany’s famous Maple Bacon Cupcakes to find that the day’s selection didn’t have it. Each day you will find the following:
- Their signature dessert… macarons
- 6 varieties of cupcakes
- Lemon Bars
- Cake Pops
- Homemade Chocolates
Peridot Sweets trivia:
- Tiffany named her bakery after her birthstone
- Their #1 selling cupcake is the Banana Nut Cupcake
- The largest cake she has made to date fed over 750 wedding guests
- In the past year she has grown from three employees to six to help with her amazing creations.
Tiffany greeted our contributors and guests with a brief overview of her history, information on her bakery, and answered questions. Even though we wanted to start sampling the treats she created for us, the questions kept coming for us to learn more about her, her services, and her desserts.
A quick vote among the group showed her brownies as the winner. She created homemade chocolates, brownies, lemon bars and three types of cookies. I loved the Mexican Wedding Cookies and Chocolate Chip Cookies. It’s a good thing I didn’t see the milk in the cooler or I would have eaten a dozen of each! LOL
The chocolate chip cookies were amazing and we found out her “secret” ingredient for the unique taste. As you can see above, I think we can all agree that Peridot Sweets is not stingy when it comes to their chocolate chip cookies, which she uses two different types!
